Last Line of Defense

At the heart of every team is their Goalie. They ground us in our most trying moments. They save us in our most desperate moments. They push us when we need it most. Our goalies are always there. They know the meaning of the word sacrifice better than anyone else on the team. Every save they make, they leave their bodies open and exposed. Each dive is another slam on the ground. Each jump is a landing to brace for. Every save they make they are open to get hit, and yet they keep making them as if that risk were nothing. Their job on the field is to be our final line of defense, our final protector. For them, it boils down to their ability to make the save. Without that, they can’t be successful and their team can start to fall apart. They are crucial to everyone’s success and key to the heart of their team.
