ANNOUNCEMENT: FC Denver Appoint Travis Yoakum as Men's Head Coach

FC Denver is excited to announce that Travis Yoakum has been appointed as our Men’s 1st Team Head Coach. Yoakum comes to FC Denver with years of Director of Coaching experience, most recently with Roaring Fork United and previously with the Vail Valley Soccer Club and Boulder County Soccer Club. In addition to his club coaching experience. Yoakum is a US Soccer Federation instructor and an A-Licensed Coach. During his playing career, he graduated as a team captain at Dakota Wesleyan University (SD) and played in the PDL for the Des Moines Menace

“It’s a blessing for us to get a coach of Travis’ knowledge, experience, and temperament.” FC Denver President Eric Ridgeway Fulton said. “He understands the challenges and rigors of coaching elite athletes who are also working professionals.” Ridgeway Fulton continues, “From his playing experience, to his coaching background, Travis is an ideal coach to lead this group to the next level.”

“I’m feeling humbled by being named the new head coach for FC Denver. FC Denver has a rich soccer history here in Denver. The opportunity that I have to continue to build onto an already storied Club was too good of an opportunity to pass up.” said Coach Yoakum.
